James W. Wise Says Jews Have Peace As Objective

The Jews are the chosen people looked upon to lead the way to a “peace-provoking internationalism through roads of revolutionary and reactionary movements.” James Waterman Wise, editor of “Opinion,” declared in an address at the weekly Bronx Forum which met in the synagogue of the Temple Adath Israel, 169th Street and the Grand Concourse, Bronx.

“The hostility that is manifestiong itself in Germany, he warned, “has not yet run its course. Let’s at least derive the benefit out of what has happened. Let not the tragic events that have attached a stinma to Germany, have occurred in vain. It is time for us to awaken to the actualities of Jewish life.”
