Yeshivah College Active As New Semester Begins

Dr. David I. Macht, eminent scholar of Johns Hopkins University, has been appointed lecturer in physiology at Yeshivah College. He will give a series of lectures on food chemistry, with particular refenence to food analysis as affecting the Jewish dietary laws.

FOREIGNERS REGISTER

Two students chosen by the Jewish communities of Irak and Burma to study at the Yeshivah College have arrived in New York.

They are Nisim Rachman, of Bachrach, Mesopotamia, and Elias Zion, of Rangoon, Burma, They plan to complete their studies at the Yeshivah College here and then devote themselves to rabbinical work on their return.

YESHIVAH OFFERS COURSES

The first February freshman class will be admitted this year at Yeshivas College, the only college of liberal arts and science in America under Jewish auspices, according to an announcement by Dr. B. Revel, President.

By authority of the State University, freshman registering for the February term will carry on their second half-year’s work during the summer and will be enrolled in September as regular members of the Sophomore class.

Courses are offered leading to B. A. and B.S. degree. Pre-medical, pre-iaw, and other professional requirements are met in courses.
