Governmental aid in the form of loans to community character building institutions was advocated by M. Maldwin Fertig, president of the Metropolitan Conference of Jewish Community Centers, in an address at the installation of officers of the Williamsburg Y.M.H.A., Brooklyn. Mr. Fertig also presented a plaque in behalf of the Conference to the Williamsburg institution for having won first place in a recent dramatic contest engaged in by the metropolitan Jewish community centers. Judge Louis Goldstein, who was reelected president of the “Y”, presided.
