Paris Ort Will Study Plan to Settle Jews in Colony of Bureya

A special Ort committee which will undertake a study of the desirability of establishing foreign Jews-in Bureya, For Eastern colony offered by the Soviet government exclusivly for Jewish colonization, was appointed today at a plenary session of the Ort Executive.

The committee will work hand in hand with other Jewish organizations and investigate the possibility of acting on the resent proposal made by Peter Smidovitch, vice-president pf the U.S.S.R., that Germany’s Jewish refugees settle in Bureya.

The session discussed the question of expanding its efforts for agricultural and industrial work in countries where they now live, to include the establishment of training centers in many countries and in addition of facilitate emigrationof Jews compilled to emigrate to find work.

A consultative body of Jews and non-Jews was formed to consider these plans.
