Charge Stavsky Tried Bribe in Murder Case

Abranham Stavasky, one of three Revisionists accused of the murder of Dr. Chaim Arlosoroff, tried to bribe nun, a fellow convict who shared the same cell with Abdul, charged today in court.

He testified that Stavsky spoke to abdul Mefid nine times through the window of the cell. Zvi Rosenblatt, another of the defendants, accompanied Stavsky once or twice, but never spoke to Abdul alone, he said.

On August 25. 3929. during the Arab riots against the Jews, Urphali was alleged to have fired on a group of Arab rioters, killing two. After r lengthy trial he was sentenced to death, The sentence after long appeals’ and a retrial was commuted to a prison term.
