Iraq postal authorities today ordered the exclusion of the pamphlet “Hitler Terror” issued by the Board of Deputies of British Jews, and also the “Jewish Advocate,” Bombay monthly.

In recent months anti-Semitism in Iraq has assumed a virulent form. Mosiem fanaties in Iraq always opposed the Jewish community there because of Zionism. But recently, thanks to Nazi inspiration, secret societies were formed in Bagdad and Basrah. Attacks on Jews became common and posters appeared on the streets reading “stain your hands with the blood of all those who differ in religion and adopt towards them the policies of Hitler.”

In Basrah Jews were attacked by Moslems coming from the local Mosque. Police interfered only after several Jews were badly beaten.
