The annual spring conference of the New Jersey branch of the Women’s League for the United Synagogue of America will be held coincident with the fifth annual convention of the New Jersey branch of the United Synagogue of America at Temple Emanu-El Centre on Sunday, April 8, according to an announcement issued by Rabbi Reuben Kaufman, chairman of the Convention committee.

Among the speakers at a dinner in the evening will be Dr. Solomon Flink, of Elizabeth, who will talk on “The Jew in Germany”; Charles Edward Russell, who will discuss “The Jew in Palestine,” and Dr. Charles I. Hoffman, whose subject will be “The Jew in America.”

Joint sessions of the two organizations will be held in the morning and evening, and separate sessions during the afternoon. A reorganization plan for the United Synagogue will be presented by Rabbi Benjamin Plotkin of Jersey City and Rabbi Leon S. Lang of Newark. The plan is expected to call for broader cooperation with the Women’s League and organization of state branches of men’s clubs and Young People’s Leagues.

Mrs. Leo M. Abrahams of Orange is president of the New Jersey branch of the Women’s League, and Rabbi Herbert Parzen is field director of the New Jersey branch of the United Synagogue.
