Editions of Jewish newspapers containing the announcement that the Polish government had forbidden the Brith Trumpeldor, Revisionist Zionist youth organization, to hold its maneuvers at Zaleszcyki, Poland, were confiscated by the authorities.
The maneuvers were banned following interpellations in the Polish Sejm and in the Senate by Endek members, The Endeks, an anti – government anti – Semitic party, objected on the ground that the Polish government was permitting “a Jewish army to hold exercises on Polish soil.”
Authorities were afraid that the Endeks would utilize the occasion of the maneuvers to carry out demonstrations against the government and against the Jews.
It is believed that the Brith Trumpeldor will hold its maneuvers in Czechoslovakia.
