Sir John Simon, British Foreign Secretary, who today delivered a written replay to a question asked in the House of Commons by Geoffrey Mander, Liberal, stated that according to the latest information available the convention on the international status of staatenlose, refugees without citizenship rights anywhere, had been signed by Belgium, Egypt, France, Hungary and Norway.
Sir John said, however, that each country had attached numerous reservations to the agreement. None of the countries have yet ratified the convention itself, Sir John declared, and it was therefore not in force.
