Schoenberg is Feted at Mailamm Reception

Arnold Schoenberg, eminent composer, was tendered a reception last night by Mailamm, Palestine Institute of Musical Sciences, at the Jewish Club, 23 West Seventy-third street.

The program featured selections by the Hall Johnson choir, and a concert by Charles Haywood and Judith Litante. A. W. Binder was at the piano.

Others on the program were Judge Jonah J. Goldstein, President of the Jewish Club, who spoke; Mrs. Charles Zunser, president of Mailamm; Lazare Saminsky, music director of Temple Emanu-el, and Rabbi Louis I. Newman, chairman. The reception committee included Dr. and Mrs. Stephen S. Wise, Judge and Mrs. Julian W. Mack, and a host of distinguished musicians and social leaders.
