Denunciation of Adolf Hitler formed the subject of an oration that won for Miss Lucille Benz, University of Wisconsin student, a place among the winners of the annual oratorical contest sponsored by the Northern Oratorical League, an organization fostered by middle western universities.

Miss Benz, whose oration had previously annexed first place in the University of Wisconsin contest, compared Hitler to Nero, Torquemada of the Spanish Inquisition, Robespierre of the Reign of Terror and Czar Alexander of the Russian pogroms.
