Schamus is Chosen Columbia Salutatorian Speaker

Dean Herbert E. Hawkes of Columbia College has announced the selection of Sanford Schamus as the salutatorian speaker at the annual class day exercises of the college. Schamus has been on the varsity debate team since his sophomore year, and this year was president of the Debate Council. He will graduate this June with honors in economics.

Arnold L. Beichman, recently retired editor-in-chief of the university daily, Spectator, was chosen by his classmates as one of the six outstanding seniors to be honored on class day. Stanley I. Fischel is a member of the Class Day committee.
