Rabbi Jacob Freedman of Temple Beth El was named one of five members of the Chelsea NRA Board for local grievances and appeals by Mayor Lawrence F. Quigley.

Rabbi Freedman has taken an active part in Chelsea’s civic affairs since his arrival in the community. He is chairman of Chelsea District, Boy Scouts of America, and a member of the executive committee of the Greater Boston Scout Council.
