In an effort to reach the goal of $20,000, the campaign of the Young Men’s and Young Women’s Hebrew Association has been extended indefinitely with donations thus far $63,000 short of the desired amount.
Unless the amount is raised, it is said, the “Y” will be compelled to close.
The Young Men’s Christian Association also is conducting a campaign for funds, and subscriptions totaling less than half of the $58,500 sought have been reported.
