The Jewish community here is indignant over the refusal of the British consul of this city to receive a delegation which intended to submit to him a resolution adopted by the General Council of the Zionist Federation of Greece against the British government’s immigration policies to Palestine.

A letter was directed to the consul, repeating the request in writing, and asking that the delegation be received. The communication expressed surprise at the consul’s attitude, which is without precedent. Relations between Zionist organizations in Greece and British consulates have always been amicable, the letter stated, and this change of attitude is unjustified.
