Dr. J. H. Hertz, chief rabbi of England today issued a statement deploring participation by Jews in attempts to disrupt Fascist meetings.

Such action, he declared, has been interpreted by the Fascists and other anti-Semites as proof that the Jews are a body against one special political party.

“This is a fantastic falsehood,” he declared, “but is capable of greatly harming British Jewry. Irresponsible Jews, interrupting the meetings, make possible the broadcasting such falsehoods, discrediting their faith and undermining the position of the Jews.”
