Already boasting of one first, a tie for second and two third places in a nation-wide competition, the Jewish Peoples’ Institute of Chicago added to its laurels by winning the 1934 Boys Club of America swimming tile. This crown gives the JPI the unprecedented record of four straight wins.
Twenty-four units representing clubs from Honolulu to Washington, D. C., and from California to Massachusetts, entered teams in the only National Boys’ Club Swimming Competition held in the United States.
The clubs were allowed to enter seven swimmers in each of the four age groups. The names of the fastest five were tabulated for the title.
