Leading Jewish scholars and idealists of the nation are expected to gather here next Friday for the annual convention of Histadruth Ivrith, organization devoted to cultivating the Hebrew language and its culture in America.
The gathering will continue through Saturday and then merge into the sessions here of the Zionist Organization of America. The two are closely allied and work hand in hand in the development of Palestine.
Dr. Solomon Goldman of Chicago, is president of Histadruth Ivrith. Other leaders, most of whom are expected to attend the sessions here at Hotel Ostend, include the Rev. Z. H. Masliansky of New York, Dr. Israel Herbert Levinthal of Philadelphia and Professor Chaim Tchernowitz, New York.
