Pending the outcome of the Washington code conference, all plans for declaring a boycott against the “Big Four” and for closing down the shops are being held in abeyance.

The Hebrew Butcher Workers Union, whose members are employed in the shops, also have abandoned, for the time being; any idea of calling a strike, Joseph Belsky, union secretary, announced yesterday.

The union will be represented at the Washington conclave by Attorney Louis Waldman. David Andron will be the lawyer for the Federation.
