Secrecy continues to shroud the reason for the sudden arrest of the four Jewish working class leaders Zerubavel, Nathan Buxbaum, Joseph Leszczynski and Pinchas Schwartz, who were apprehended late Sunday. All except Buxbaum have been released, but the government refuses to divulge the reason for their arrest, or for the continued detention of Buxbaum.

At the same time the government continued arrests of Nara leaders and active members. Jan Mosdorf, commander-in-chief of the Naras, alleged to be the grandson of a converted Jew, was arrested again by the authorities, who are detaining him and other arrested Naras.
