Indication that German Jewry expects little benefit from the recent upheaval in the Nazi regime was seen in the announcement by the Home Secretary that his department has just issued permits to nineteen Jewish-owned German textile mills to move to Great Britain.

Application for the permits had been made three months ago. The firms that will move to England from Germany have been averaging together $5,000,000 in export trade yearly.
