Ozet Acts to Stimulate Biro-bidjan Migration; Builders Are Favored

Ozet, Russian Jewish organization for the settlement of Jews on the land, has decided to facilitate the immigration of several hundred Polish Jewish families to Biro-Bidjan, the Moment, Warsaw Jewish daily, reported today. Building workers and technicians of all kinds will be given preference. The first group will leave for Biro-Bidjan in the spring of 1935.

The Ozet decision, the Moment declared, was made following the formation of the Agroid, Polish Jewish organization for settlement of Polish Jews in Biro-Bidjan. The group was organized in Warsaw on June 9, and immediately entered into negotiations with the Ozet in Moscow and with the Polish Foreign Office.
