Premier Tsaldaris today paid a warm tribute to the Jewish citizens of Greece, characterizing them as “valuable, law-abiding and virtuous sons of the Fatherland” and declaring that they “are not deserving of being restricted by a political ghetto.”
Addressing the Senate, the Premier said he took pride in having Jewish supporters. He added that it was in the Fatherland’s interest not to set up distinctions between Jews and non-Jews.
