The Leipzig branch of the Union of Jewish Front Soldiers has held a meeting of its members in conjunction with the members of the Leipzig Jewish Community, under the slogan “Air protection also for the Jewish population.”

Herr Mueller, Leipzig Adjutant of the Reich Air Defense League, who addressed the meeting, said that they had found it necessary to come and speak also to the Jewish population, and the natural way to do that was to approach those comrades of theirs who had fought at their side in the War in defense of the homeland.

It is the wish of the Government, he went on, that the Air Defense should embrace the entire nation, including the Jewish section that has found in Germany its homeland, soil and centre.

“Even if Jews cannot become active members of the Reich Air Defense League because the League is directly subordinate to the Reich Ministry of Air,” he said, “the League does, nevertheless, desire to extend its protection to all sections of the population without any restrictions.”
