Cantor Albert Rappaport, concert and grand opera tenor, has been engaged to officiate as cantor at the new Temple Beth Sholom during the forthcoming High Holy days. The Temple is now under construction and will be ready for Holy Day worshippers.
Cantor Rappaport is well-known to San Francisco Jewry, having officiated at Temple Keneseth Israel several years ago before resigning to take up an operatic career.
The new temple is being built at a cost of $75,000.
