Baum Arrests Two on Kosher Charge

Joseph Bregman and Jack Axman, proprietors of the New York Wholesale Meat Market here, were arrested yesterday by Shepherd Z. Baum, supervisor of kosher law enforcement of the Department of Agriculture and Markets, on charges of violating the kosher law by representing non-kosher meat as kosher.

They were arraigned before Judge Rochard K. LaTourette, who set bail for Bregman at $1,000 and for Axman at $500. Hearings will take place next Monday.
