Before a luncheon gathering here in his honor, Rabbi Jonah B. Wise of New York declared that in the social clash in Germany “the Jews will be caught between the upper and nether millstones.”

His subject was “The Present Status and Probable Fate of German Jewry.”

The German people, he said, have rallied behind Hitler on a hate program—hate for the Versailles Treaty, for debts, for Communists and for Jews.
