Support for establishment of a recreational and guidance center in New York City for German refugees was pledged this afternoon by more than one hundred women of Long Beach at a luncheon meeting at the Hotel Nassau.
The luncheon, arranged under the auspices of the Long Beach chapter of the Women’s Association of the American Jewish Congress, was addressed by Mrs. Nathan D. Perlman of New York, vice-president, in charge of the summer program of the organization. Mrs. Pearl Frankel, chairman of the Long Beach Chapter presided. The women also pledged themselves to intensify the boycott of products and services of Nazi Germany.
