Jamal Husseini, a leader of the extremist Arab nationalist movement, has been deprived by the district court of his vote in the municipal elections and the right to be elected to office in the forthcoming Jerusalem balloting. Husseini, the court held, does not own property in Jerusalem—a necessary qualification—and is not entitled to be a beneficiary of the Waqf, Moslem holy places administration, which automatically provides the right of franchise.
