Jewish influence in the life of Germany was denounced today by Reichsfuehrer Adolf Hitler at the “kultur” session of the Nazi party congress now in session here. Alien culture, the Nazi leader declared, “was introduced in Germany by Jewish intellectualism.”
“National Socialism by its unifying effects on the German people thus has conquered and rooted out the threatening manifestations of destruction,” Hitler said.
Anti-Semitic posters and caricatures were displayed everywhere in Nuremberg today as Nazi leaders from every section of the country participated in the second Nazi congress to be held here.
Shop windows, homes and walls everywhere were decorated with huge pictures of Reichsfuehrer Adolf. Hitler and Commissioner for Franconia Julius Streicher. Side by side with the portraits of the Nazi leaders were such slogans as “Beware of the Jews and their oaths.”
Jewish stores in Nuremberg were closed and the Jews of the city kept off the streets at night, and even during the day, while the Brown Shirt armies were in Nuremberg. The city is completely given over to the Nazis and to anti-Semitism.
