Reich Minister of Education Bernhard Rust supplemented his order excusing German Jewish children from taking Nazi racial courses by directing yesterday that only children who ask for permission to stay away be excused.

Previous orders issued by Dr. Rust, after numerous protests from German Jews gave the teachers in the Nazi Schools power to excuse Jewish children from taking the racial courses, which are given every Saturday. The racial teachings exalt the “Aryan race” and condemn the Jews as an inferior race who were the cause of most of Germany’s woes.
