Polish authorities delivered another blow at Jewish schools when officials here ordered that general history, geography and singing be taught in Polish only in the Yiddish and Hebrew schools of this city.
The new decree means the Polonization of the entire Jewish school system because other subjects are already taught in Polish in conformity with a previous law.
Leading Jewish educators, aroused by the new decree, have called a special conference to discuss the future of the Jewish school system in Poland.
