Twenty thousand persons attended the first performance last night of “The Romance of a People” at the Kingsbridge Armory. The pageant, tracing the history of the Jewish people through the ages, was the first of thirteen performances, the proceeds of which went for the settlement of German Jewish refugees in Palestine.
