Demands on the facilities of the Jewish hospital of Brooklyn compelled the institution to double the space of its pathological laboratory, add a new delivery room in the maternity division and make several other changes, Joseph J. Baker, president of the hospital reported to the board of directors.

Ten German Jewish refugee doctors were housed at the institution during the Summer studying clinical English and observing methods practiced in the outgoing patient department.
