Invitations to Dr. Nahum Sokolow, president of the World Zionist Organization, and to a number of other prominent Jews to attend memorial services for the late King Alexander of Yugoslavia at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre today were withdrawn at the last minute, Greek Catholic clergy, who officiated at the services, refused to permit Jews to enter the Holy Sepulchre.

The Yugoslav and Czechoslovakian consuls, who issued the invitations originally, were profuse in their apologies to the Jewish leaders, but pointed out that action of the Greek Catholic clergy left them no other alternative.
