The creation of a separate orthodox Jewish community in Austria was suggested to the government today by a delegation of the extreme orthodox congregation of Vienna, known as the Schiff synagogue.

This suggestion aims to split the existing united Jewish community which is recognized by the government as the institution representing the Jewish interests. The delegation of the orthodox congregation which intervened with the Austrian government consisted of Jewish orthodox leaders who are supporting the present regime in Austria.
