Mr. and Mrs. David Lieberman of 421 Crown street, Brooklyn, announced the engagement of their daughter, Miss Charlotte Lieberman, to David S. Hoffman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Morris Hoffman, also of Brooklyn.

Another important engagement of the week is the one of Miss Inez Volmer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur J. Volmer of 175 West Ninety-third street, to Emmanuel David Lowenstein of this city, son of Mr. and Mrs. I. Lowenstein of Philadelphia.

Miss Volmer is a graduate of New York University. She was elected to membership in Theta Sigma Phi, national honorary society for women in journalism. Mr. Lowenstein was graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, and is an executive in the Paul Lefton Advertising Agency.

Miss Claire Vernon Bach, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Bach of Mount Vernon, was married to Richard W. Pretzfeld, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene W. Pretzfeld of Scarsdale, at the Croydon; 12 East Eighty-sixth street, last week Dr. Jonah B. Wise performed the ceremony.

Miss Libby E. Hirsch, a volunteer social worker in Mount Sinai Hospital and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben R. Hirsch of 317 West Eighty-ninth street, has pledged her troth to Dr. S. Stanley Schnierson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Schnierson.

A son, their second child, was born November 17 to Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Reisman of 415 Highbrook avenue, Pelham Manor, N. Y. Mrs. Reisman is the former Miss Miriam Gumble, daughter of Mrs. Stella E. Gumble of Columbus, Ohio.

Announcement has been made of the engagement of Miss Jessica R. Wolman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Wolman of Holyoke, Mass., to Arthur Robert Levine, son of Tax Commissioner Joseph M. Levine and Mrs. Levine of New York.
