To the Editor, Jewish Daily Bulletin:

With reference to an article implicating my name and published in your paper on November 20, I wish to state most emphatically that I am NOT anti-Semitic.

The persecution and discrimination suffered by my own race, of which I was a victim in my early life, prompts me to sympathize with any race or creed which is the victim of intolerant power.

I hope that in justice to me you will give this as much publicity as you did your article.

John T. Prout.

CORRECTS FIGURES

To the Editor, Jewish Daily Bulletin:

In your edition of Wednesday, November 21, you had an item on page 6 entitled “Charity Drive in Baltimore nets $111,528.”

In the next to the last paragraph, you state the following:

While the exact amount of Mr. Epstein’s contributions will not be determined until after the close of the campaign next Monday, fund officials anticipated that it will be close to $10,000.

As chairman of the group collecting this money I want to make a correction of this by stating that Mr. Epstein’s contribution—if the required amount of money is raised—would total about $30,000.

A. Ray Katz.

Baltimore,

Nov. 22, 1934.
