The Odyssey of the 318 Jewish immigrants who wandered around Mediterranean ports on the Greek ship Velos, only to be refused admission by several governments, ended today when they arrived in Warsaw.

The travellers left Poland, intending to land in Palestine illegally, but their plans failed. From then on they made the round of various ports in the Mediterranean. For three weeks they were permitted to stay on the Greek island Syra, but the government refused them permission to settle permanently.

They were finally taken to Constanza, Rumania, and then sent to Poland in a sealed and heavily guarded train.
