“It may be added that the authorities are carefully investigating every individual case in which exemption from the general rule may be granted, without doing damage to the interests of the counry, and the umost latitude on grounds of humanity is allowed.

“The Jewish press should be warned against accepting such unconfirmed and alarming reports without proper inquiry.”
