Many were arrested here last night in anti-Semitic disturbances which broke out in the municipal theatre when the Polish singer, Ordonowa, began to sing Hebrew songs at her concert.

Ordonowa, who is non-Jewish and one of the most famous singers in Poland, had just returned from a trip to Palestine, where she gave a number of successful concerts. It was there that she learned her Hebrew songs.

Returning to Poland, she included these songs in her repertoire. She is the first non-Jewish artist to sing Hebrew songs on the Polish stage.
