Rabbi Jonah B. Wise, chairman of the Joint Distribution Committee’s national fund raising unit, yesterday announced that 97.3 per cent of the $1,338,171 pledged last year for the aid of German and East European Jews has already been received. An intensive effort to collect the balance of $36,281 is now in full swing.
