Louis Gassner, Furrier, Dies in San Francisco

Louis Gassner, widely known merchant and civic leader of San Francisco, died here after an illness of two years.

Coming to San Francisco forty-five years ago, he started as a clerk in a fur store, finally founded the firm of Louis Gassner, Inc., furriers, of which he remained the head. He was a frequent contributor to charities and took an active part in civic affairs.
