Contracts were signed today for building 130 houses, several roads and a water supply system for Kyryath Chaim, new colony on Haifa Bay, named for the late Dr. Chaim Arlosoroff, Laborite leader killed by assassins last year. More than $200,000 will be spent for the work. The first group of settlers already is established there.

Isidor Bush, publisher of the first Jewish weekly in the United States, served as aide-de-camp to Fremont at his St. Louis headquarters in 1861.
