The Chief Rabbi of Castoria and many Jewish pedestrians were attacked today in Castoria by anti-Semitic groups. Crying “Jews Quit Greece,” they pulled the beard of the Rabbi and injured a number of Jews in the street.
The Governor General of Salonica ordered a strict investigation and promised severe punishment for the offenders.
The Jewish Telegraphic Agency correspondent was informed today by government officials that many Hitlerite propagandists will be expelled from Greece for spreading anti-Jewish literature. Those to be deported are all foreign citizens.
