An appeal to all Jewish workers in Palestine temporarily to drop their jobs in the building trades and proceed to the fields, where there is a sharp shortage of farm hands, was issued here today by labor organizations.

The appeal points out that the entire crop is in danger if no work on the fields is done. It also emphasizes that the oranges on the orange plantations will go to waste if not picked at once.

“Resign temporarily from the high wages which you are getting in the cities and proceed to the fields,” the appeal says, urging the concentration of all available hands for the picking of oranges in the orange belt.
