Premature birthday congratulations sent by Sir Arthur Grenfell Wauchope, High Commissioner for Palestine, to Chief Rabbi A. L. HaCohen Kook provoked mirth here today.
Sir Arthur sent a message of good wishes on what he believed was the attainment by Rabbi Kook of his seventieth birthday. The High Commissioner “jumped the gun” by more than five months, the Jewish Telegraphic Agency is informed, as Rabbi Kook’s seventieth birthday will not occur until the middle of Elul (August).
