after Dr. Jacob was kidnaped, and who has admitted that he lured the exiled writer from France to Basle and delivered him from there to the Nazis, is a Nazi agent who had his headquarters in London and himself specialized in espionage for the Nazis among the refugees from Germany in France, Holland, England and Switzerland. He was arrested when the Swiss police intercepted a telegram from Germany recalling him to Berlin after the kidnaping.

Scotland Yard in London and the secret police of France and Switzerland, were busy checking Dr. Wesemann’s record after the Swiss police authorities discovered that he was the head of a Nazi spy organization which maintained headquarters in London. A list containing several hundred names #nd addresses of persons upon ###hom this organization spied, was ###und on Dr. Wesemann when the ### police arrested him.
