The Nazi press yesterday launched a campaign against Jewish managers of German boxers, Max Schmeling and Walter Neusel. The Fraenkische Tageszeitung, published by Julius Streicher, is especially indignant about Joe Jacobs, Schmeling’s manager, who is an American Jew. The paper declares that Jacobs kept his cigar lit in his hand when he raised it in the Nazi salute.
