Professional social workers and lay leaders in Jewish welfare will meet here tomorrow and Sunday for the annual Upstate New York Regional Conference of Jewish Social Agencies, sponsored by the National Council of Jewish Federations and Welfare Funds.

Moses Winkelstein, of Syracuse, N. Y., is chairman of the continuing committee in charge of the conference.

“The purpose of the conference,” Mr. Winkelstein said, “is to afford lay and professional leaders an opportunity to exchange experiences and to clarify opinions affecting Jewish social welfare activities in New York State.”

Dr. Mordecai M. Kaplan, leader of the Society for the Advancement of Judaism, will open the conference with a paper on “The Nature of Jewish Adjustment to American Life.”
